Delete or extract PDF pages
Remove pages from a PDF, or copy selected pages into a new file. Both operations produce one PDF. Pages are not split into separate files.
You cannot delete every page. Encrypted PDFs cannot be edited this way.
Examples: 1, 3, 5-7. Whitespace is allowed. Delete uses those page numbers in document order. Extract keeps the order you type, including repeats. The server checks the real page count.
What this tool does
Delete / Extract Pages lets you modify one PDF using a page list. Delete mode removes the pages you specify and keeps all remaining pages in their original order.
Extract mode creates a new PDF containing only the pages you choose, in the order you enter them. Repeated page numbers are preserved.
Use Delete / Extract Pages when you want to remove unwanted pages, keep selected pages, or create a smaller document from specific sections.
The tool copies PDF page objects rather than rasterizing the document into images. Uploaded files and generated results are stored outside the public web root and are automatically deleted after the current one-hour retention period.
How to use it
- Upload one PDF file. The file can be up to 25 MB.
- Choose Delete selected pages or Extract selected pages.
- Enter the pages using commas and ranges, such as 1, 3, 5-7. Page numbering starts at 1.
- Start the job and wait for processing to finish.
- Download pages-deleted.pdf in delete mode or pages-extracted.pdf in extract mode.
Important limitations
- Each job accepts exactly one PDF, up to 25 MB.
- You cannot delete every page. At least one page must remain in the resulting PDF.
- Encrypted or damaged PDFs are rejected and are not processed.
- This tool uses typed page numbers and ranges rather than a thumbnail-based visual page editor.
- It does not create a separate PDF file for every page. Use Split PDF when you want individual page files in a ZIP archive.
Frequently asked questions
- How do I delete specific pages from a PDF?
