Watermark PDF
Stamp the same text on every page of a PDF. This is a visual overlay. It is not encryption, and it does not make a document tamper-proof.
Defaults are filled in and can be changed. Encrypted PDFs cannot be watermarked. Image watermarks are not available yet.
Default: CONFIDENTIAL. Up to 200 characters. Built-in Helvetica (Western European characters).

What this tool does
Watermark PDF adds the same text watermark to every page of one PDF and returns a new file named watermarked.pdf.
You can enter custom watermark text and choose from the available position, rotation, opacity, and size options.
The watermark is added as a transparent visual text overlay. The original PDF pages are not converted into images.
A watermark is a visible stamp, not encryption or a tamper-proof security feature. Anyone using suitable PDF software may still copy content or remove the overlay.
How to use it
- Upload one PDF file up to 25 MB.
- Enter the watermark text. The text is required and can contain up to 200 characters.
- Choose the available position, rotation, opacity, and text size options.
- Select Watermark PDF and wait while the worker applies the text overlay to every page.
- Download watermarked.pdf and review the result to make sure the watermark is readable and positioned as expected.
Important limitations
- The tool supports text watermarks only. Logo, image, and custom-font uploads are not available.
- The same watermark text and styling are applied to every page. Different wording for individual pages is not supported.
- Watermarks are visual overlays and are not a security lock, DRM, or protection against removal.
- Encrypted PDFs cannot be watermarked by this tool.
- One PDF can be processed per job, with a maximum input size of 25 MB.
