How to Convert PDF to JPG Online
Converting a PDF to JPG turns each PDF page into an image. This can be useful for previews, sharing individual pages as images, or working with software that accepts JPG files instead of PDF documents.
What happens when you convert PDF to JPG?
Each page of the PDF is rendered as a JPG image. The page order is preserved, and the resulting JPG files are packaged into a ZIP archive for download.
How to convert PDF to JPG
- Open the PDF to JPG tool .
- Upload one supported PDF file.
- Choose the desired output resolution.
- Select Convert to JPG.
- Wait for processing to finish.
- Download the ZIP containing the JPG images.
Which DPI should you choose?
DPI controls the resolution used when rendering PDF pages into images. Higher DPI generally produces sharper and larger JPG files, while lower DPI produces smaller files.
- 100 DPI: useful when smaller images are more important than maximum detail.
- 150 DPI: a practical balance between readability and file size for many documents.
- 200 DPI: useful when you want higher image detail and can accept larger output files.
How is JPG output different from the original PDF?
A PDF can contain selectable text, vector graphics, fonts, and other document structures. JPG is an image format, so the converted pages become raster images rather than editable PDF page objects. The conversion is therefore not lossless.
What are the current limits?
The current PDF to JPG tool accepts one PDF up to 25 MB per job. The maximum page count is controlled by the current application limit. Output is delivered as a ZIP containing the page images rather than as separate downloads.
Can I download each JPG separately?
Not from the current tool. All generated page images are packaged into one ZIP file for download.
Can encrypted PDFs be converted?
No. Encrypted PDFs are rejected by the current PDF to JPG tool.
Why are my JPG files large?
Image dimensions depend on the PDF page size and the DPI you choose. Higher DPI creates more pixels, which generally increases the size of each JPG. Complex pages can also take longer to render.
Tips for better PDF-to-JPG results
- Use 150 DPI when you want a practical balance of image quality and file size.
- Use 200 DPI when readability and detail are more important than output size.
- Review the ZIP contents before sharing or publishing the converted images.
- Keep the original PDF if you may need selectable text or document structure later.
